What's In A Name

Stacking Stones is the title to a collection of God moments we wrote to our children at the request of the Lord after a bout with cancer. We eventually published the stories in book-format to share with the world. The book name was derived from the biblical book of Joshua wherein the Jewish people had crossed the Jordan River en route to the Promised Land. Joshua was instructed by God to have the men stack twelve stones knowing that the curiosity of the children will demand they ask their parents about the stacked stones; which in turn would require the parents to testify to what God had done for them, notably that God enabled them to "cross the Jordan River on dry ground." Further in the story, the stacked stones memorialized the event so that the peoples of the earth would know that the hand of God is powerful!

Stacking Stones Discipleship Ministries is created for that same result~ where God would meet you in a place of challenge and usher you into your "Promised Land" for you to stack your own stone as a testimony of His mercy, love and strength!

The three-fold outcomes of Stacking Stones Discipleship Ministries is to testify of Jesus: past, present and future! The three scriptures which serve as our foundation are:

Past

Joshua 4~ where Joshua was Instructed to “memorialize” the crossing of the Jordan River on dry land so that their children and the whole world would know who was God!

Present

Psalm 66:16~ come and hear all you who fear God! Let me tell you what’s He’s done for me!

Future

Revelation 19:10d~ the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.
